Soon it will be three years since we first opened our doors in London, welcoming people from all walks of life in to join us for coworking, therapy, events, and community. Join us as we celebrate on the 21st March 2020.
This entire day is free - just come along!
FREE OPEN HOUSE 1-4:30PM
After the success of our last two open house events, we have brought it back! Our doors will be open all afternoon for you to come and have a look at our space, meet members of the community, speak to a coach or therapist, experience an art therapy activity, and celebrate with us. The schedule:
· Speed Dating Therapists: 2-3pm and 3:30-4:30pm
Looking for a therapist, or just curious about what therapy is like? Our innovative speed dating therapists is back again. Ten of our therapists will be on-site to have brief, ten-minute confidential face-to-face taster sessions with you; it’s not therapy, but it’s a taste of what therapy with this person might be like. We will also have a coach or two on-site to answer any questions you might have about coaching.
· Mindful Writing Group Tasters: 1:15pm-1:35pm, 1:45pm-2:05pm, 2:15-2:35 pm and 2:45-3:05pm
We have been running weekly mindful writing groups since 2018. Facilitated by Sebastian Kola-Bankole and mindfulness trainer Paul Christelis, each session starts with handing your phone in, and a short mindfulness exercise to get you in the zone, followed by three hours of wifi-free uninterrupted writing, supported by others quietly writing with you. We’ll be running some 20-minute taster sessions, so you can try it for yourself.
· Mini Therapeutic Art Making Sessions - 3:15pm-3:45pm and 3:55pm-4:20pm
Art psychotherapists Olivier Droillard and Marielle Albers will host a couple of mini- therapeutic art making sessions, inviting everyone who is curious about expressing themselves creatively. They will guide participants through some simple exercises - All welcome - there is no need to be "good" at art!
· Ask a Coach a Question: Between 1 and 4:30 pm
In addition to traditional psychotherapy, we also have coaches working in Stillpoint Spaces London – it’s a related profession but with different methods, aims, and objectives. If you’d like to learn more about it, why don’t you ask one of our coaches a question while you’re exploring our Lab?
· Digital Mirror: Instagram, selfies, psycho-politics of our online personas 5pm-7pm
Join us for a free lecture, discussion, and an opportunity to try on banned Instagram filters as we explore selfies, body image, and the psycho-politics of the entities we portray on the internet. Teresa Fogolari will be sharing her research and her filters for participants to try – followed by a discussion with Teresa, author and psychotherapist Aaron Balick and more panellists tbc. Admission is free and you will be able to purchase wine and beer.
