Private Practice I work privately as a psychotherapist with individuals dealing a wide range of issues including anxiety, relationship, identity problems and depression. I also specialise in family support, working with issues around disability and bereavement.
Family Psychotherapist Ambitious about Autism National Centre for Autism Education As part of a national research project into family resilience it was highlighted that families with children on the autistic spectrum are particularly at risk of breakdown because of the extra stressors and demands on the family unit. In response to this I ran a project to raise funds for a parent support service for parents of children with serve and complex autism. Once established, this position included designing and overseeing the service, as well as running individual and couples psychotherapy, parent support groups and sibling support groups. I was responsible for all monitoring and evaluation and the training and support of those working and volunteering within the service. The project has recently been granted a further extension of funds due to successful outcomes.
